This Tulsi Chai Ghee is where Tulsi (aka Holy Basil), the queen of all herbs, truly shines. Blended with traditional chai spices, medicinal mushrooms and adaptogenic herbs, this is another beautiful example of food as medicine. Delicious both in hot drinks and culinary applications. I love this in my morning herbal “coffee”, dolloped on top of oatmeal, cooked into curries, and on roasted vegetables with salt and pepper. Truly divine!

WHERE DO WE GET OUR BUTTER?

Our small batch ghee is made from the highest quality butter we can get our hands on. We source from Banner Butter, a small Atlanta creamery that uses only local, grass-fed milk from cows raised on pasture, which is then slow-cultured to form a highly digestible and nutrient dense butter. From this, we handcraft a variety of styles of ghee, from the traditional Pure Gold to many types of Herbal Infused Ghees, both medicinal and culinary.

What is ghee?

Ghee is an ancient recipe from India. It’s an ultra-clarified butter in which the water, lactose and casein are simmered out and removed through a fine straining process. What’s left is the pure butter oil, loaded with vital vitamins and minerals. Ghee is unique to other oils in that it is able to seep deeply into all 7 bodily tissues, delivering nutrition to all parts of the digestive system and organ systems.
