Head of Kitchen Production
25-40 hrs/wk
(located in Clayton, GA)
Woodland Wellness is growing, and with that, we’re inviting a new Head of Kitchen Production to lead and guide the heart of our physical product creation.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will oversee the full flow of production, from raw ingredients to finished goods, while stepping into the process alongside your team. You will ensure that everything we create reflects the quality, care, and consistency that Woodland Wellness is known for.
This is a leadership role for someone who can hold both the details and the bigger picture: keeping production moving, guiding team members, tracking inventory, protecting quality, and ensuring the kitchen stays organized, stocked, and on pace.
We provide a thorough onboarding experience, including a 45–60 day training period with our current Head of Kitchen Production, Baily, so you feel fully supported stepping into ownership of this role.
What you’ll be doing
You will oversee all production of Woodland Wellness products, including herbal extracts, ghee, bone broth, beverage concentrates, and spice blends, ensuring they are consistently in stock and made along established protocols.
You will maintain inventory of finished goods, ingredients, and supplies, ordering as needed and creating reliable systems to track and organize everything within the kitchen.
You will actively participate in production, supporting key batches and maintaining a close connection to the quality and integrity of the process.
You will taste and evaluate products regularly, uphold food safety standards, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
You will create and manage production schedules, train and guide Apothecary Assistants, and ensure clear expectations and follow-through across the team.
You will track production yields, labor, and costs, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and maintain strong margins without compromising quality.
You will oversee order fulfillment and logistics, including packaging and shipping customer and wholesale orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring inventory is stocked for direct-to-consumer locations.
As Woodland Wellness continues to grow, you will collaborate with Petals in hiring new production team members and carry forward the integrity of our processes through how you train, guide, and lead them.
